Food tables

Pop-up distribution, produce swaps, donation drives, and low-barrier ways to move resources quickly.

Why it matters

More connected. More self-reliant. Better prepared.

Our communities are facing rising food costs, economic instability, social isolation, and growing uncertainty. Food Army exists to help people become more connected, more self-reliant, and better prepared.

We believe food security, strong neighborhoods, and practical skills are the foundation of resilient communities.

Through collective action

We are building neighborhood infrastructure.

  • Food security: local access to fresh food and essential resources.
  • Community connection: spaces where neighbors meet, share knowledge, and support one another.
  • Volunteer networks: a system that identifies talents and connects people with meaningful projects.
  • Neighborhood micro-economies: food sharing, barter systems, work exchanges, and local resilience.
  • Safe third spaces: gardens and gathering spaces that strengthen community ties.

Current needs

Bring what you can. There is a place for everyone.

We are currently looking for volunteers, garden materials, fencing, tools, seeds, land access, and community partners.

No experience required. Learn new skills, find resources, meet people, enjoy fresh homegrown food, save money, and empower your community.
