More gardens, more growers, more shared harvests, and more hands in the soil.
About
Food Army is local food power.
Food Army is a community-centered movement for neighbors who want to grow food, share skills, preserve seeds, support events, and build practical care where they live.
What we do
We organize around the simple idea that food should not feel distant, fragile, or isolated from the people eating it. Food Army helps turn everyday places into places where people can learn, grow, gather, and share.
The work can look like planting a bed, sorting seeds, running a workshop, tabling at an event, moving donated supplies, cooking from harvests, making posters, or helping a neighbor start with one container.

Seed saving, dry storage, pantry skills, and community knowledge that lasts beyond one season.
Beginner-friendly workshops that turn practical skills into neighborhood confidence.
Mutual aid, food tables, volunteer networks, and low-barrier ways to move resources.
Come through
There is a place for every skill level.
You can grow, teach, cook, table, flyer, donate, document, haul supplies, design materials, organize neighbors, or simply learn where to start.
